What users log

  • Daily face photos submitted by you for skin scoring.
  • AI-generated skin scores and trend history.
  • Lifestyle check-ins including sleep quality/hours, diet chips (dairy, sugar, junk, alcohol), and exercise status.
  • Derived insights and correlations used by Skinsera features (including weekly AI coaching summaries).

How photos are processed (Biometric & AI Processing)

Skinsera captures daily face photos to generate your skin score. To perform this analysis, your photos are securely transmitted to our trusted third-party AI service providers (such as OpenAI and Anthropic) via our backend infrastructure. These third-party providers strictly process the photos solely to provide the requested skin analysis and are prohibited from using your photos to train their AI models. Your photos are never sold, traded, or used for advertising purposes.

How your data is stored

Your logs, photos, scores, correlations, and all tracking data are stored locally on your device. When you take a face photo, it is transmitted to our AI analysis service for real-time processing and is not stored on our backend. No face photos are retained on any server after analysis.

No ads, no sale, no unrelated third-party sharing

Skinsera does not sell personal data, does not run third-party advertising, and does not share your face photos with unrelated third parties for marketing or advertising. Where needed to provide the service, photos may be processed by our contracted infrastructure and AI processing providers acting on our behalf.

Apple HealthKit Data

If you choose to connect Apple HealthKit, Skinsera may read relevant sleep and exercise data only after your explicit permission to suggest correlations with your skin health. HealthKit access is entirely optional and can be revoked at any time from your iOS settings. We do not use HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, or use-based data mining. We do not sell HealthKit data to advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers. HealthKit data is strictly used to provide health and fitness tracking features within the Skinsera app, in full compliance with Apple's App Store Review Guidelines.

Data deletion

You can delete your account and associated data from within the app. Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. Requested deletions are completed permanently, including backend records.
